1.  If the price is too good (way below blue book value) – then walk away.

2.  If the person is selling quickly (because of a divorce or being deployed) – then walk away.

3.  If all of the pictures are stock photos (like from a dealer or with great angels and scenery) – then walk way.

4.  If they want to know where you are first (so they can say I’m not local and won’t be able to show you the car) – then walk away.

5.  If the seller asks for money upfront- RUN, RUN, RUN away.

Hope you can help – ignition cylinder, mine’s a 2001 S60:
Question – you show a picture of the key and cylinder by itself, out of the casting
(it has two tabs for aligning and a big circlip / retaining ring)
How did you get it free? Can you imagine swapping one out if original was bad?
I have the cast part out, and a used one that works, with it’s key. My original key wouldn’t turn, the new (used good) one does, I’d like to get my old cylinder out, fix it internally, then slide it into the good used casting and install (so my chipped door key would work in ignition).
THANKS!

It was cut with a skill saw just for show
It cannot be put together manually.
You’ll have to order the whole part – sorry
Hate the part not the VOLVO 🙂
